JWAY DTS April 2019

The Way of St. James

What is the way of saint James DTS, you might ask? Above all, we believe it’s a call to young believers to come and experience Jesus and then to go and bring the truth about Jesus back to Europe. The way of St. James is an ancient pilgrims trail to the tomb of the apostle James. Many saints over the last centuries have walked this way and encountered the living God. The route of this way leads from every part of Europe to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Today seekers from all over the world come here to find “their way,” not necessarily knowing what they are searching for. What a great opportunity to introduce them to Jesus. We will experience this adventure together as a team during the second half of this Discipleship Training School.

For this school some fitness level or at least the willingness to get fit is required, as we will hike on this trail 10-20 km a day for a few weeks.

On Campus Learning

Your Discipleship Training School will start in the Caribbean with a time of getting to know God in a deeper way. In the learning phase you will hear powerful teachings from speakers from all over the world. Learning from one another, living in a community with international people and spending time in the prayer room is integral in the DTS experience.

You will have one-on-one discipleship times with your DTS staff and learn about your identity and purpose as a child of God.

Outreach

Outreach is an exciting time to share the gospel and see individual lives transformed through what God is doing in you.

For this particular outreach we will go to Europe. Why? Yes, Europe is beautiful, mostly wealthy and with lots of culture and rich Christian history to explore. Yet, in this season, it is desperately in need of the transformation of Jesus. Refugee crisis, homosexual agenda in schools, growing of the islam religion and an increasing number of people never having heard the name of Jesus! We want to carry the light and truth of Jesus! For part of this outreach we will backpack the way of St. James, that has been hiked for many centuries in the search of truth. Even to this day many walk this trail to “find a way.” You will have the chance to share with them the one way, Jesus.  You will be challenged to step out of what you know and at the same time experience more of God’s freedom.

Come pack your bags and join us for a wild adventure of being “light and salt.”
