Justice - DTS

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”      Psalm 82:3-4

“Learn to do good.  Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.” Isaiah 1:17

It is easy for us at times to blame others or even God with the evil and suffering in the world. It’s even easier for us to just be passive and forget that there are others who are crying out for help, who are desperately asking if anyone in the world really cares.

We believe and hopefully you will too, that God wants to bring freedom & healing in your life, but also wants to bring that same freedom & healing to those who urgently need it. This school has a very special focus of giving attention to the various social injustices in the world that affect children. Children are the most vulnerable group in any society. We believe every child has been created with a unique purpose, intrinsic value, in the image of God, deeply loved by God and treasured by Him.

We believe God’s heart breaks whenever children are exploited, abused, abandoned, or neglected and our purpose is to stand and fight on behalf of these children, as a voice for the voiceless.

God makes it clear that when children are suffering, it is our responsibility to intervene. God has designed us to respond to the needs of this hurting world.

We all have a part to play in helping to stop injustice. God wants to use you!

For outreach our school will travel to India and Albania. Making this DTS part of your journey, you will not just learn, but also experience a deepening in your relationship with God and realize that you can be a valuable part of what God is doing in the World.

Lecture Phase

You will have the chance to meet new people and make friends from other nations and cultures, as you learn together in a community that prepares you to "do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8).

You will also receive intense discipleship that is real and relational alongside teaching that is creative and interactive. This school will start with 3 months of teaching sessions from international speakers with global experience and perspective. Some of the topics will include…

Outreach Phase (Field Assignment)

After 3 months of lecture phase, you will be heading off to India and Albania, applying what you have learnt. You will be challenged to share what Jesus has done in your life, as there will be many opportunities to see the power of God transforming your life as you reach the lost and hurting in this world.

Your heart will be filled with compassion, as you see firsthand the reality of injustice in the world, while working with people who are hurting from social injustice.

This course is also your gateway of empowerment to continue your spiritual journey, by taking other courses or volunteering at any YWAM base across the globe.
